AIRPROTEC’s Privacy Policy
This AIRPROTEC Customer Privacy Policy details the personal data that AIRPROTEC (“we” or “us“) collects about its prospects, customers and visitors (“you”), how we use it, the purposes for which we are pursuing it, and your rights to control the personal information we hold about you.

1. 1. AIRPROTEC’s role as data controller
The person responsible for processing your data is the public limited company MURPRO GROUP, having its registered office at Parc Industriel 27 in 1440 Braine-le-Château in Belgium and acting in Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal through its subsidiaries MURPROTEC. The subsidiaries of MURPRO GROUP process your personal data in accordance with our instructions.
MURPRO GROUP is the sole and exclusive person responsible for the processing of your data, the Murprotec subsidiaries act as intermediaries and local points of contact in the relations they have with you.

As the data controller, we independently and autonomously determine the means and purposes of the processing of your data.
2. 2. What data do we process and use?
We collect and process your personal data only for the purposes described in this policy. As part of our contractual or pre-contractual relationship, or when you visit our website, we may collect the following personal data from you:

3.2 3.2 Fulfilment of (pre)contractual obligations
The processing of your data is carried out for the purpose of responding to a request for the conclusion of a contract by a new customer and for the performance of the contract concluded. In this context, we process your data in order to:

3.4 3.4 AIRPROTEC’s particular legitimate interest: advertising and direct marketing
Always maintaining a fair balance between the need to process your data and the preservation of your rights and freedoms, including the right to the protection of your privacy, AIRPROTEC segments its customers in order to offer you appropriate products/services from AIRPROTEC or its business partners and corresponding to your professional and/or personal situation and the products/services you already own. To this end, AIRPROTEC is likely to:

– evaluate our interaction data with you, prospects or customers;
– contact you again about a product/service in which you have expressed an interest on our websites but have not validated your purchase/order basket;

3.5 3.5 Your consent to send electronic communications
Finally, wemay use your personal electronic contact data, i.e. your mobile phone number and e-mail address, in order to send you information, advertising or personalized proposals relating to the products/services of AIRPROTEC or its business partners, by means of direct marketing actions or newsletters. In this case, AIRPROTEC specifically requests your consent in advance.
4. 4. Who and how do we share your data with?
AIRPROTEC does not sell or rent its customers’ personal data to any third party. We also do not disclose your personal data to any third party, except in the situations described in this policy.
We may share your personal data with AIRPROTEC branches/subsidiaries or with third parties acting as personal data processors in our name and on our behalf. To the extent that these service providers act as processors on our behalf, we do not authorize them to use or disclose the data in any manner except as permitted in this Privacy Policy. We require and ensure that these processors undertake to ensure the appropriate confidentiality and security of the personal data they process on our behalf and following our instructions. In any case, we always ensure that third parties only have limited access to the personal data necessary to carry out the specific tasks required.
In some cases, AIRPROTEC acts as a processor of personal data in the name and on behalf of third parties, data controllers. In this case, this privacy policy does not apply and the processing of personal data is subject to the provisions of the policy defined by the third party.
5. 5. Transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
We store your data within the EEA.
We may need to transfer your data to countries outside the EEA, also to countries that would not offer a sufficient level of protection according to the criteria defined by the European Union (e.g. a transfer to a subsidiary located outside the EEA). In this case, we will ensure an adequate level of protection for your data by using EU Standard Contractual Clauses or any other means to ensure that your data is transferred in a secure environment.

7. 7. Right to object to direct marketing

8. 8. How long do we keep your personal data?
We will not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the data is processed.
In accordance with the principles set out below, we will delete personal data as soon as it is no longer necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless retention is necessary for other fundamental purposes, including but not limited to compliance with our legal obligations, handling complaints, and resolving disputes.
Customers’ personal data will be retained by AIRPROTEC (i) for at least the duration of the contract we have with you and any subsequent period, as required by law or permitted by applicable law; (ii) for the statutory retention period of tax or accounting records in order to comply with our legal obligations; (iii) for as long as it is necessary for the defence and enforcement of AIRPROTEC’s rights in legal proceedings.
